Menno Haven Work Day
If you are getting cabin fever and are looking for ways to be active this fall, Menno Haven is currently open to having individuals or family units come and do a variety of outside work projects on your own (i.e. chainsaw and/or clean up downed trees, clear honeysuckle, pick up sticks in the grassy mowed areas, etc) all while maintaining appropriate physical distancing practices. Email Sheena at sheena@mennohaven.com to talk about potential activities and available time frames if you have any interest in this.
The next scheduled Work Day is Saturday, April 24th.
Gather at the Eagle Wing Activity Center for a light breakfast before heading off in teams to work on the morning projects. This is a great family friendly way to volunteer!
Gather for lunch and check out the newly renovated patio in front of the Dining Hall at Lakeview Lodge. Projects will continue after lunch until around 4 pm. Come for all or part of the day. |
Menno Haven depends on, and greatly appreciates, the hard work of volunteers like you to keep our 231 acres of sanctuary looking great! Join us for a time of fellowship, working, helping, and eating together! |
