Here's what some former summer staffers have said about their time with us:
"I have the best time of my life this summer. I met a lot of amazing people and formed a lot of wonderful relationships. I gained alot of skills that I never had in Chicago. I also connected with Jesus. Through worship, work, and the campers." - Summer Staffer, 2021
"New friends, becoming less shy, talking with others, patience, communication, different backgrounds..." -Summer Staffer, 2021
"This summer taught me how to lead by example and to always show the love of Christ. I will never forget my time spent here at Camp Menno Haven." - Summer Staffer 2022
"I'm so glad I got to spend my last summer before college at Menno Haven. The support and care from the staff, the relationships built, and the growth of my faith make it an experience you can't recreate. I grew in my patience, care for others and my leadership. Can't wait to come back next year for a new experience!" - Summer Staff 2022

"Working at Menno Haven for me was so enjoyable. I learned a lot of new things and as a maintenance assistant I had so much fun bonding with campers and helping with things that need to be fixed. Even though it was challenging, it was all worth it because teaching campers about Jesus is always worth it." - Summer Staffer 2022
"The Menno Haven environment is unlike any other. Each day is bookended with heartfelt singing, each meal is accompanied by meaningful conversations, and every chance to be outdoors is embraced. Coming to camp was always a highlight of my summer each year, but working as a head cabin counselor this year has only enhanced how much I love this place. Tough days and tired days challenged us, but we were all kept safe - even despite the ferocious thunderstorms that flooded camp. God works in mysterious ways that I have yet to understand, but what I do understand is why some of my favorite summer staff came back many summers in a row." - Summer Staffer, 2021
"It was awesome to get away for a couple weeks. I loved learning and helping with the other staff." - Summer Staffer, 2021

"Thank you Menno Haven...for giving me the opportunity to meet so many amazing people. People that represent hard work and dedication. People who show love and kindness to all. People who do every task of the day with a good attitude. Thank you Menno Haven for showing me God's amazing creation. Showing me animals from graceful prancing deer...to little baby toads spontaneously bouncing along the gravel road. Showing me the swaying trees while walking the trails to the wild raspberries asking to be picked at every corner...Thank you Menno Haven for teaching me more about myself. Teaching me valuable life lessons that I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you Menno Haven for teaching me more about Jesus through all the chapels and campfires and people and beautiful nature." - Summer Staffer, 2021
"This summer I learned that kids really listen to me...My highlight is talking with my cabins about Jesus because that talk could have impacted on what they decide to do in the future with their life." - Summer Staffer, 2021
