Below are some of the regular updates that are being sent out to our mailing list regarding the status of the renovation. It's a little way to honor our volunteers and share the story of what's happening here. Menno Haven Camp & Retreat Center Make Donation | Photos| Contact us What's Been Done? Week 7 * Finished the plumbing rough-in in dorm rooms * Finished the electrical rough-in in dorm rooms * Finished running wires for the electrical upgrades for hotel rooms * Continued installation of heating/cooling infrastructure throughout Oak Lodge by contractor * Took down wallpaper borders in the bathrooms where the borders were cut due to heating/cooling upgrades * Hung drywall in hotel room. By December 3rd * Finish electrical upgrades * Finish heating/cooling installation (by contractor) * Complete spray foam insulation (by contractor)  * Complete hanging insulation (by contractor) * Hang sound board for sound proofing in dorm rooms * Hang drywall downstairs and upstairs             MORE   What's Still Needed? As of 11-29-2016:   $49,472.25 has been received in hand and an additional $52,000 has been pledged, bringing the grand total raised to $101,475.25 (~53% of the project).   $88,524.75 (~47% of the project) is needed to cover the projected costs.                           You can help financially by: * giving a monetary gift * pledging a gift to be given by December 2017 *giving a no interest loan through December 2017 to assist with cash flow for the renovation * giving appreciated stock, mutual funds, or other property * giving commodities such as corn or soybeans * making a Qualified Charitable Distribution from your traditional IRA * donating building materials * sponsoring a skilled laborer * volunteering your time and labor DONATE Friend Spotlight The folks from Willow Springs Mennonite Church said they and their friends would provide the electrical work under the direction of Pastor/Electrician Cal Zehr for the Oak Dorm Room Renovation. Throughout the month of November they gave 23 people days of work. That's the equivalent of 1 person for an entire month! Wow, what a gift! Many thanks to those who came. You literally light up our lives!! Read More   Upcoming Events                      Dec 18-23 Family Service Week Spend a week at camp giving back. Check in on Sunday evening. Monday - Thursday be led in morning devotions, two day time work sessions, and evening free time of singing, games, and/or s'mores all while letting us cook for you! There is no cost to this week long event. For more information, click here. April 8 Spring Work Day Menno Haven depends on and greatly appreciates, friends who partner with us to keep our 231 acres of sanctuary looking great. Join us for a time of fellowship, working, helping, and eating!  A typical Work Day starts with a light breakfast at 8:00 and goes through 4:00.
