Many thanks to Ken and Rebecca Moyer for all you have done for the Oak Lodge Renovation and for the myriad of other ways you have cared for Menno Haven over the years - bringing kids to camp, being a board member, and volunteering for other projects.

Ken and Rebecca were here, along with a group of people from their church: First Mennonite Church of Champaign-Urbana, to jump start the Oak Lodge Renovation process. This group took out EVERYTHING from the old bunk rooms and started doing demolition. When they were done, all that was left was cement or cedar walls, the water heater, the pressure tank and the little wall in the center of the empty room with the electrical panel so the hotel rooms could still be used. The change was impressive!! |
Ken and Rebecca came back for a week in October and brought Rick Wojnar who works with Ken in his business, Ken Moyer Carpentry. They poured cement and framed walls as well as a variety of other tasks. Rebecca worked in the office which was also a wonderful gift. Ken and Rick returned in November for a couple days to put up sound board. In January Ken and Rebecca came again one more time for Ken to work on trim and Rebecca to help in the office. |

Ken and Rebecca's gifting each in their own areas has been a blessing as well as their laughter and friendship. Thanks for all your care and support!
