In the fall of 1958, Menno Haven came into existence with the purchase of the first 80 acres of land near Tiskilwa. Because the first camp occurred in 1959, 2008 is the 50th year of operation for Menno Haven. To celebrate 50 years of ministry, four special times are scheduled plus a DVD. In particular, the Reunion Family Camp, July 4-9, 2008 is a time for the many persons who served on summer staff as counselors, cooks, maintenance or kitchen helpers, program or craft directors, etc to come to share stories and remembrances with those who served over the years. Recognition of others connected with Menno Haven will occur at other times. Plan to participate in some of these events!
