What: : A 24 retreat designed for renewal and rest. Worship times will include hymn singing and the opporunity to practice some spiritual disciplines. Between worship, the time is yours...do what you need to do to feel renewed. There will be some structured activities to jump into if you would like.

Why: We are often so busy that we don't take the time to slow down, rest and do what we need to do for our own personal health.

Our spiritual discipline time will be lead by Lon Alderman. Lon is the founder of Acorn Ministries, whose purpose is to build the body of Christ, the Church, one leader at a time. Lon works with leaders in the church by coaching, training, and encouraging them. He has also been the pastor at the Grand Ridge and Long Point United Methodist Churches since 2008. Lon is married and has three children. His interests include backpacking, music, playing Wii golf, and leading Bible Studies.
